Frequently Asked Questions

1. What print process do you use to create the Fine Art Prints?

We use the latest Giclée Printers to ensure we deliver the highest quality Fine Art Prints.
We print at either 2400dpi or 2880dpi depending on the Giclée Printer that we match to the selected art print medium.
We use inks that are guaranteed to last greater than 75 years after being varnished.
We use color calibrated workflows to ensure that all colours are replicated with the greatest accuracy.
We use two coats of museum grade gloss varnish to enhance, preserve and protect your Canvas Fine Art Prints.

2. Should I buy a Canvas Fine Art Print or a Fine Art Paper Print?

Our Canvas Fine Art Prints are all printed on a 450gsm polycotton blend matte canvas which is hand stretched onto an internal wooden frame and fixed into place by skilled technicians.
Each internal frame is made from premium quality pine stretcher bars.
All frames over 32 inches long are supported by a cross brace.
There is a more textured finish to a Canvas Fine Art Print compared to the smoother finish that you get with a framed Fine Art Paper Prints.

Our Fine Art Paper Prints are printed on our hand-picked fine art papers.
Each art paper has a different set of attributes that allow us to deliver the best colour presentation and tonal match for your chosen framed Fine Art Print.
Fine Art Paper Prints are traditionally presented in frames.

3. What type of borders are available for Canvas Fine Art Print?

The default edge finish is "photo wrapped" unless you specify from a choice of coloured edges.
Our frames are 38mm deep, so somewhere between 10% and 5% of the Canvas Fine Art Print image will be wrapped around the edges depending on the canvas print dimensions.

4. What are your shipping charges for destinations outside the UK Mainland?

Our Fine Art Print quotations only cover orders for delivery within the UK Mainland.
All locations outside the UK Mainland are subject to additional charges:
Scottish Islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man - £10
Northern Ireland - £10
International - quotation by destination

We use reputable Couriers for all shipments to Home and International destinations.
All unmounted Fine Art Paper Prints above 16 inches x 12 inches are sent rolled inside a protective tube unless specifically requested during the order process to be sent flat.
All Canvas Fine Art Prints and Framed Fine Art Paper Prints are sent out in protective packaging.
To avoid glass breakage in transit, all our frames use non-reflective Museum Gallery Crystal Clear Acrylic as standard.
A glass covering can be ordered and when selected will incur an additional charge for the required in-transit protective packaging. When this option is chosen it is reflected in our stated selling price.

5. How long will it take for my Canvas Fine Art Print or Fine Art Paper Print to arrive?

Allow 7 working days from receipt of payment as meeting your order involves completing many steps to ensure that you receive the highest quality Fine Art Print.
Should you place a bespoke order then this may require a little longer than 7 days. We will ensure that you informed of the expected lead time well in advance of your order payment.

6. Any tips on hanging or after-care?

We do not recommend hanging your Fine Art Print in constant, direct sunlight.
Please do not use cleaning sprays or any other cleaning fluids.
Try to avoid putting too much pressure on the Fine Art Print surfaces.
A Canvas Fine Art Print is made from natural materials and ink ingredients and will respond to changes in humidity and temperature which may become saggy over time.
If this happens, lightly tap the wedges which will re-tighten the canvas on the internal wooden frame.
All our Canvas Fine Art Prints are varnished so they are water resistant and can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth.

7. Do you do bespoke orders?

Yes, we can produce any size of Fine Art Print within the limitation of the high resolution fine art digital file and the maximum width restriction of the Giclee Printer for the shorter side of the fine art print.
60 inches is the maximum width that fine art Giclee Printers can currently achieve.
Please contact us if you need a quotation for a Bespoke Fine Art Print with or without a frame.
Bespoke orders may require a little longer than our standard 7 days turnaround service.

8. What Guarantees do you offer?

If you're not happy with the quality of your Fine Art Print then return it back to us within 14 days for replacement or a refund (this excludes any returned delivery costs).
